Ingredients for Cambodian Crispy Rice For 3 people

Rice 2 cups Cooking oil 500 ml Sugar 3 tablespoons Fish sauce 3 tablespoons Chili powder 2 tablespoons Scallion oil 20 gr Pork floss for serving 50 gr

How to make Cambodian Crispy Rice

  • Cook and compress the rice

    Rinse 2 cups of rice clean and then cook it into rice. While waiting for the rice to cook, heat 500 ml of cooking oil until boiling.

    When the rice is cooked, use a spoon to fluff the rice and tightly press it against the sides of the pot, leaving a large space in the center of the rice pot.

  • Fry the rice

    Pour the hot oil into the tightly compressed rice and use your hands to rotate the pot to fry the rice until golden and crispy.

  • Making fish sauce and finishing

    Boil 3 tablespoons of fish sauce with 3 tablespoons of sugar, 3 tablespoons of water, and 2 tablespoons of chili powder.

    Sprinkle shredded pork on the fried rice, add scallion oil, and drizzle the fish sauce on top to enjoy.
