Ingredients for Soy Sauce Fried Tofu For 4 people

Tofu 400 gr (2 pieces) Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon Soy sauce 2 tablespoons Cooking oil 2 tablespoons

How to choose fresh and delicious tofu

  • Fresh and delicious tofu has an off-white color; on the contrary, if you see tofu that is too yellow, it means it contains a lot of gypsum, which is not good for health.
  • When holding the tofu, it feels light, soft, smooth but has good elasticity, and especially it is not easy to break.
  • You should limit buying tofu if you cannot smell the characteristic faint aroma of soybeans but only smell a strange, unpleasant odor, as that indicates the tofu has gone bad and should not be eaten.

How to prepare Fried Tofu with Soy Sauce

  • Prepare the tofu

    First, gently wash the purchased tofu with water to clean it, then drain. Next, use a knife to make cuts on the surface of the tofu into square pieces.

    Then, take a plate and add 2 tablespoons of soy sauce along with 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder, using chopsticks to mix well until the mixture is combined.

    Finally, add the 2 pieces of tofu you have cut into the mixture, gently turn both sides, and let the tofu soak in the seasoning for about 15 minutes.

    Tip: To avoid breaking the tofu, you should only cut about 2/3 of the tofu, not too deep.

  • Fry the tofu

    Meanwhile, place a pan on the stove with 2 tablespoons of cooking oil and heat it over medium heat. When the oil is hot, add the 2 marinated pieces of tofu and fry for about 5 – 7 minutes.

    Once the tofu is golden on both sides, continue to add the marinade, simmer for 3 – 5 minutes, until the marinade thickens, then turn off the heat and plate.

  • Final Product

    Fried tofu with soy sauce is so attractive! Each piece of golden crispy tofu has a faint aroma that is very alluring, and it is even dressed in a bright yellow from turmeric powder that you can’t resist!

    Especially, the tofu is very flavorful while still retaining its creamy texture just like at first, eating with a bowl of hot white rice is truly “wonderful”!
