How to make Fruit-flavored Chewy Candy
-
Cook chewy candy with malt
Soak 40gr of gelatin sheets in cold water for about 5 minutes, then remove and squeeze out excess water.
Put 190ml of water, 24ml of lemon juice, and 80gr of sugar into a pan and stir well to dissolve.
Next, place the pan on the stove, add 24gr of malt, and stir well over low heat until dissolved.
When the water is about to boil gently, add the softened gelatin soaked in cold water and continue to stir until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
Scoop off all the white foam from the surface of the candy mixture, then bring to a boil and turn off the heat.
-
Make fruit-flavored jelly candy
Divide the malt candy mixture into 3 portions, each portion about 90ml.
Dissolve 10g of green apple powder with 1/2 teaspoon of water, then pour this mixture into 90ml of malt candy water and stir well.
Do the same with the remaining fruit powders.
-
Pour the jelly candy into molds
Line a rectangular mold with parchment paper, then evenly spread each fruit candy mixture into (each flavor in a separate mold) and let it rest for 1 – 2 hours at room temperature until the surface of the candy sets.
After the candy sets, stack the layers of candy on top of each other, cover with another layer of parchment paper on top, and place it in the refrigerator overnight.
-
Gummy rolls
First, you place the candy upside down on a flat surface and remove the parchment paper. Let the candy dry at room temperature for 3 – 4 hours.
Then, use another piece of parchment paper to cover the candy, slowly roll it up to make it easier to remove the candy from the flat surface.
Next, cut the candy into many long strands and then roll them up.
-
Final product
The finished fruit-flavored gummy rolls have an eye-catching color, with a chewy texture and a moderate sweetness, light sourness, extremely delicious.
