  • Do not choose strawberries that have mottled colors, uneven colors, or still have green spots on the fruit because they will be very sour and watery.

How to make Fruit Yogurt Dessert

  • Mix the condensed milk and yogurt

    First, put 380g of condensed milk into the basin along with 400ml of boiling water at 70 – 80 degrees Celsius, stir well until the condensed milk is completely dissolved, then add 440ml of sweetened fresh milk and continue to stir well.

    Next, add 200g of unsweetened yogurt and stir until the yogurt is well mixed, then strain it through a sieve to make the yogurt smooth.

  • Put in jars, incubate

    Use a cup with a spout to measure yogurt into jars, then arrange the yogurt jars in the rice cooker.

    Pour boiling water at about 70 degrees Celsius into the rice cooker so that the water level submerges about 2/3 of the yogurt jars, close the lid tightly and incubate for 10 – 12 hours, no need to plug it in!

    Incubate yogurt using an oven: First, preheat the oven to 100 degrees Celsius and wait for the oven to warm up for about 5 minutes, then turn it off. Place a tray with the yogurt jars in the oven. After that, close the oven door tightly and incubate for 6 – 8 hours or overnight. Wait for about 3 hours, then turn the oven on for about 3 minutes and then turn it off.

    With this method, you don’t add hot water, just ensure a warm environment is necessary for the starter culture to work well.

  • Heat gelatin powder

    Put 10g of gelatin powder in a bowl and add about 1 tablespoon of clean water just enough to moisten the gelatin powder, do not make the mixture too watery!

    Place a pot of clean water on the stove, bring it to a boil and then add the bowl of gelatin powder to steam for 5 – 10 minutes.

    Heat until the gelatin completely dissolves into a liquid, slightly thick mixture.

  • Prepare the fruit

    Wash the strawberries, remove the green part, and slice them. Peel the oranges, cut them in half, and slice them thinly.

    Add 500g of yogurt that has been fermented (5 jars of yogurt) into a clean bowl, then pour in the melted gelatin and stir until the gelatin is completely mixed with the yogurt.

    Tip: To make it more convenient, you can also buy 500g of ready-made yogurt to make jelly yogurt instead of making yogurt at home!

    Pour the yogurt mixed with gelatin onto a plate, then gently arrange slices of oranges, strawberries, and mulberry jam on top; decorate according to your preference.

    Finally, place the fruit jelly yogurt tray in the refrigerator for about 3 – 4 hours until the yogurt sets, and then you can enjoy it!
