How to cook Golden Pearls

  • Cooking the sugar water

    Add 100ml of water and 10g of brown sugar into a pot, let it sit without stirring, and cook over medium heat until the sugar boils and turns caramel color, then turn off the stove.

    Tip: Stirring the sugar while it’s melting will cause it to clump and may easily burn.
  • Boil the pearls

    Boil 200ml of water, 50gr of brown sugar, over medium heat until it boils, then add the pearls to cook for 25 minutes, after that, transfer them to an ice water bowl to keep the pearls chewy and delicious, then drain.

    Put 100gr of brown sugar in a bowl, add 100ml of water, 1 tablespoon of honey, then add the drained pearls and stir well to absorb the sweetness.

    The golden pearls can be used within 8 hours at room temperature; if stored in a refrigerator, it is recommended to use them quickly within 1 day to prevent the pearls from hardening.
