How to Choose Fresh Pennywort
- There are 2 common types of pennywort: small stem and large stem. You should choose small stem pennywort as it is firmer, crunchier, and more flavorful than large stem pennywort.
- Choose fresh pennywort with young green or dark green leaves, juicy stems, without black spots or white dots on the leaves.
How to Choose Quality Mung Beans
- Choose mung beans that have been dehulled, with bright yellow color, plump and shiny, and when you smell them, they have a natural mung bean fragrance.
- When held in hand, they should feel firm and not leave any powdery residue.
- Avoid choosing beans with unusual colors, signs of mold or pests, or strange smells, as they will not be safe when cooked.
