How to prepare Braised Vegetarian Spare Ribs with Pepper

  • Prepare the ingredients

    After buying the vegetarian ribs, soak them in warm water for about 1 hour and then squeeze out all the water. Next, cut the 4 pieces of vegetarian ribs into small, bite-sized strands.

    Then, wash the green onions thoroughly with water and use a knife to chop the green onion tops finely and place them into a clean bowl. Do the same with the green onion stems.

  • Fry the ribs

    Place a pan on the stove and add a little cooking oil. Turn on the stove and wait until the oil is hot, then add the vegetarian ribs and fry over medium heat.

    While frying, use a chopsticks to stir evenly so that the vegetarian ribs turn golden on all sides. Once the vegetarian ribs are dark golden, take them out onto a plate and turn off the stove.

    First, add the chopped green onions and sauté until fragrant. Then, add 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and 70ml of water to the pan to cook the sauce.

    Next, season the mixture with 2 teaspoons, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 1/2 tablespoon of MSG, and 1/2 tablespoon of salt. You can adjust the seasoning to suit your taste.

  • Prepare the ingredients

    After buying the vegetarian ribs, soak them in water for about 30 minutes.

    After 30 minutes, once the vegetarian ribs have expanded, squeeze out the water and let them dry. Next, cut 6 pieces of the vegetarian ribs into bite-sized pieces.

    Wash the scallions and chili, then chop them finely. Wash, crush, and chop 3 stalks of lemongrass.
