How to Make Pea Milk

  • Soak the Peas

    Put 200gr of peas into a bowl, cover with water, and soak for about 6 – 8 hours until the peas swell and soften.

    Then, peel the peas and take the pea flesh to make the milk.

  • Boil the Peas

    Put the peas in a pot and pour enough water to cover them by about 1 – 2cm, then cook for about 30 – 40 minutes over medium heat until the peas are soft.

    Tip:

    • During the boiling process, remember to monitor the water level and add more if it gets low to prevent the peas from burning.
    • Taste a pea; if it has a sweet and rich flavor without bitterness and is powdery, then it is cooked.

    Put the cooked peas into a blender along with 500ml of water and blend until smooth.

  • Cooking Milk

    Pour the ground beans into a pot, add enough water for 3.5 liters. Then cook over medium heat while continuously stirring the mixture with a ladle until the beans are cooked.
    After cooking for about 10 minutes, you start adding condensed milk and use the ladle to stir so that the milk cooks and dissolves into the beans. Cook until the milk mixture boils vigorously, then turn off the heat.

    Tip: Remember to use a ladle to skim off the foam to keep the bean milk clear and delicious, which helps extend the shelf life of the bean milk!

    Blanch the milk containers with boiling water to sterilize them, then use a clean towel to dry them thoroughly.

    Pour the cooked pea milk into bottles, let it cool and place it in the refrigerator to drink gradually.

    Tip: You should use glass containers for the milk to ensure health safety and better preservation of the milk!

  • Choose strawberries that are bright red, shiny, with green leaves firmly attached to the stem, and have a light sweet aroma. Strawberries with uneven coloring, some green and some red, are unripe and will taste sour.
  • Do not choose strawberries that have dark bruises, wilted stems, signs of being crushed, or oozing juice.

How to make Strawberry Pea Smoothie

  • Prepare the ingredients

    After washing the strawberries, set aside 2 for decoration. The remaining ones should have their stems removed and cut into small pieces.

    Wash the peas, set aside about ten peas for decoration, then put the rest in the freezer to freeze for about 2 hours.

    Add the chopped strawberries into the blender along with 30ml of apple juice, and blend the mixture for about 2 minutes.

    Add the remaining frozen peas to the blender along with 30ml of apple juice, then blend the mixture for about 3 minutes.

    Use 2 glass cups and evenly pour the blended strawberry mixture into both cups. Next, use a teaspoon to gently pour the pea mixture from the edge of the cup (as shown) so that the pea mixture sits on top of the strawberry.
