- Avoid choosing aloe vera with excessively large branches and a purple-green color, as these have fewer nutrients.
How to choose quality honey
- Pure honey, of good quality, usually has a uniform color. If it is wild honey extracted directly by hand, it often has a little wax and pollen mixed in the jar.
- You should choose honey that, when tested by dropping a few drops into clean water, forms round honey balls that do not dissolve and sink to the bottom of the cup.
- Avoid choosing honey that has uneven colors, with dark and light spots, and is slightly gritty, as it may have been mixed.

Preparing Aloe Vera
After purchasing aloe vera, cut it about 5 – 10 cm from the root and stand the aloe vera upright on paper or a cloth to let the yellow sap drain completely. Then cut the aloe vera into small pieces and place them in a bowl of water.
Peel both sides of the aloe vera and then use a knife to slide down the skin to separate the white flesh. Next, cut the aloe vera into medium-sized pieces, about the width of a finger.
Soak the cut aloe vera in a bowl of water with a pinch of salt for about 5 minutes, then rinse 4 – 5 times under clean running water until the surface of the aloe vera is free of slime.
Bring a pot of water to a boil over medium heat, when the water is gently boiling, add the aloe vera and blanch for 1 – 2 minutes. Rinse the aloe vera with clean water and let it drain.
Peel the ginger, wash it clean, then cut it into small pieces.
Tips for preparing aloe vera without bitterness
- Note that you should not cut the aloe vera too large, as it will create a slimy texture when consumed. If cut too small, the juice will not retain its properties.
- Method 1: After peeling off the green skin of the aloe vera, place the flesh in a bowl of salted lemon water and gently rub until the aloe vera is free of slime.
- Method 2: Place the peeled aloe vera in boiling water and blanch for about 2 – 3 minutes to eliminate the bitter taste. Remove the aloe vera and immediately place it in a bowl of ice water to make it crisper.

Press aloe vera
Put the prepared aloe vera and ginger in the refrigerator for about 5 – 10 minutes before pressing.
Then, add the aloe vera and ginger into the juicer with a little filtered water and turn on the machine to extract the juice.
Finally, simply pour the juice into a glass, add 1.5 tablespoons of honey, and stir well to finish.
