Black tea 80 ml Fresh orange 350 gr (can be replaced with 250gr canned oranges) Cream 30 ml Mint leaves 20 gr (Basil) Lemon 1/2 fruit Jelly powder 10 gr (Jelly powder) Agar powder 2 gr (Agar powder) Sugar syrup 20 ml White sugar 130 gr

How to Choose Fresh Oranges

  • You should choose yellow oranges to make orange jelly milk tea, as this type of orange has a lot of juice and is sweet. Additionally, for convenience, you can buy canned oranges at supermarkets, markets, or grocery stores to make this milk tea.
  • You should select oranges with a plump, juicy skin, that feel soft and have essential oil when squeezed.
  • Choose oranges that feel heavy in hand, with a balanced shape, not deformed.
  • Do not choose oranges that feel mushy when squeezed, or have large bruised areas on the skin’s surface.

Place a pot on the stove, turn on medium heat and add 500ml of water, then heat it up. When the water starts to bubble gently, add 2g of jelly powder, stirring until the water steams.

Next, add 130g of sugar and 10g of soft jelly powder, stirring continuously until the sugar and jelly powder completely dissolve. Turn off the heat and let it cool.

After that, add 2/3 of the blended orange juice, stir well, and then add the juice of half a lemon. Stir until the orange jelly mixture is well combined.

Pour the orange jelly mixture into a mold and refrigerate for 1-2 hours for the jelly to set.

Finally, cut the orange jelly into your desired shapes or leave them as cubes in the ice tray for a refreshing treat.
