Ripe mango 2 pieces Corn starch 100 gr Brown sugar 60 gr (or white granulated sugar) Lemon juice 1 teaspoon Salt A little Filtered water 200 ml

How to choose fresh and delicious mangoes

  • You should choose mangoes that are uniformly yellow, with the flesh at the stem firm, not soft or wrinkled, and the stem slightly depressed into the flesh.
  • Good mangoes will have taut skin, no blemishes, and tiny dark spots. Fresh mangoes without preservatives have a strong aroma and a pleasant scent of essential oils.
  • Avoid choosing mangoes that are too soft or too hard. Naturally ripe mangoes will have a certain firmness, feel solid in hand, and will not be squished when pressed.

  • Cutting the mango

    Next, put the cut mango into a blender along with 60g of sugar and blend until the mixture is smooth.

  • Cooking the mango mixture

    Place a pot on the stove, add the blended mango mixture, a little salt, and stir well over medium heat until it boils.

    Dilute 100g of cornstarch with 200ml of water, then add the cornstarch water to the mango pot. Continue to stir until the mixture thickens.

    Finally, add 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and stir for another 5 minutes to finish.

  • Pour the mango cake mixture into the mold

    Line the inside of the mold with a layer of plastic wrap, then pour the mango mixture in and let it cool.

    When the cake cools, place it in the refrigerator for 3 – 4 hours to finish.
