How to make Peanut Candy

  • Prepare the peanuts

    First, remove any spoiled, shriveled, or dark-colored peanuts.

  • Roast the peanuts

    Next, preheat the air fryer to 180 degrees Celsius for 2 minutes. Then, add the peanuts to the fryer and roast for 7 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.

    When the roasting time is up, continue to let the peanuts rest in the fryer for another 5 minutes for even cooking and easier shelling.

  • Make the peanut candy

    Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Then, add 100g of brown sugar and stir well until the sugar melts.

    When the sugar turns a caramel color, add about 2 teaspoons of lemon juice to the pan.

    Tip: To avoid burns, squeeze the lemon into a spoon and gradually add it to the pan.

    Next, pour the shelled peanuts into the sugar mixture. Use chopsticks to mix until the peanuts are evenly coated in sugar.

    Finally, pour the mixture onto a banana leaf and press it flat. Wait for the candy to cool, and you will have a delicious peanut candy to enjoy.

    The peanut candy after completion has a very eye-catching brown color. When eaten, you will feel the slight chewiness from the sugar, along with a bit of crunchiness from the peanuts, which is very appealing.
