Ingredients for Melted Cheese Potato Cake For 2 – 3 people

Potatoes 300 gr Unsalted butter 15 gr Heavy cream (also known as whipping cream) 100 ml Mozzarella cheese 250 gr Chicken egg 1 piece All-purpose flour 100 gr (for coating) Breadcrumbs 100 gr (for coating) Common seasoning 10 gr (Salt/oil/pepper)

How to make Melted Cheese Potato Cake

  • Prepare the ingredients

    Peel the potatoes, wash them clean, then cut them into pieces and steam or boil until cooked.

    Once the potatoes are cooked, place them in a bowl, use a fork to mash them, then strain through a sieve.

    You place a pot on the stove, add the potatoes and 15 grams of unsalted butter, stirring until the butter melts over low heat.

    Add 100 ml of heavy cream to the pot, stir well, then add 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of pepper, and 250 grams of Mozzarella cheese.

    Stir well to combine all the ingredients, and when you see the cheese completely melted, turn off the heat to let it cool.

    Once cooled, pour it into a mold and place it in the freezer for 2 hours.

  • Frying melted potatoes

    When the potatoes have been in the freezer long enough, take them out and cut them into bite-sized sticks.

    Crack the eggs into a bowl and beat them well, put the flour on one plate, and the breadcrumbs on another plate.

    Coat the potato sticks in flour, then dip them in the beaten egg, and finally roll them in the breadcrumbs.

    Heat a pan on the stove, add a cup of cooking oil to the pan and wait for it to get hot (you can test by dipping a chopstick into the oil; if it bubbles, the oil is ready).

    Add the cheese sticks to the pan and fry over medium heat until both sides are golden, then remove them to drain the oil.

    Serve on a plate, dipping with chili sauce or mayonnaise.
