How to choose delicious sausage
- You can choose fresh or dried sausage depending on your preference.
- For fresh sausage, choose those with a pink-red color, a characteristic aroma, and a slightly soft feel when squeezed.
- For dried sausage, choose those that are dull red in color, look normal and not too eye-catching, and have a slightly firm texture. At the same time, there should be no unpleasant odors.
How to choose delicious fresh pork floss
- You can buy pork floss at reputable food stores, supermarkets,… ensuring clear origin.
- When purchasing, remember to check that the packaging is intact, observe that the pork floss inside has a light yellow color, is fluffy, and has a long shelf life.
- Do not buy pork floss that has unusual colors or signs of green mold, or is slimy.

How to make Foil Wrapped Rice Rolls

Mix the rice
First, add the ingredients into a large bowl including: 1 bowl of rice, 50g of grated coconut, 1 teaspoon of sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt, then use chopsticks to mix well.
Tip: You should wear gloves and gently squeeze the rice to mix, helping the ingredients and seasonings to soak in evenly. -
Prepare the sausage
First, use a knife to cut the sausage in half, about the length of 3 fingers. If you buy a short sausage, there is no need to cut it in half!
Next, place the sausage in a pot and pour water to cover the surface of the sausage, then put the pot on the stove to boil for about 10 – 15 minutes over high heat.
After that, remove the sausage to drain and fry in hot oil for about 4 – 5 minutes over medium heat until the outer skin of the sausage is slightly discolored. Remove the sausage to drain the oil.
Finally, use a knife to cut the sausage in half lengthwise.

Roll and bake the rice
You wrap plastic wrap around the entire rice roll. Then, scoop out half of the mixed rice and spread it evenly on the surface of the rice roll. Next, sprinkle a horizontal line of shredded pork and place 2 pieces of sausage cut in half on top, then roll it up like sushi. Finally, you place the rice roll in the paper to wrap it up.
Place the rice roll in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius and bake for 15 minutes.
Tip:- With the amount of rice prepared, you will be able to make 2 large rice rolls.
- When rolling, remember to press tightly so that the rice does not come apart and has a nice shape when cut.
- The width of the foil should be about 2 finger lengths larger than the length of the rice roll, making it easier for you to gather both ends of the foil to create a beautiful rice roll shape.
