How to choose fresh and delicious mangoes

  • To enhance the dish’s flavor, you should choose mangoes that are crunchy with a slightly sour taste when eaten, such as: young mango, keo mango, or tượng mango.
  • When buying these types of mangoes, you should select those that are still unripe with a green, smooth skin, free from blemishes or tiny spots.
  • When purchasing, press on the mango with your hand; if it feels firm, crunchy, and not mushy, with a still stiff stem that hasn’t fallen off, then you should buy it.
  • Do not choose mangoes that have uneven colors, with green mixed with yellow or that are turning yellow. Because these fruits are ripening, they will be less crunchy and sour.
