How to prepare Steamed Rice Cakes with Roasted Pork using an Air Fryer

  • Prepare the rice cake batter

    To prepare the rice cake batter, mix 200g of rice flour, 100g of tapioca flour, and 200g of salt in a bowl.

    Then, add 600ml of filtered water to the flour mixture and start stirring well, then let the batter rest for at least 1 hour.

  • Steam the rice cakes using a pan

    Place a non-stick pan on the stove, and heat it for about 5 – 7 minutes. Then start pouring a thin layer of batter to cover the surface of the pan.

    Tip: To prevent the batter from settling, you should stir the bowl each time you scoop the batter to keep it well mixed.

    Once you have poured the batter into the pan, cover it and wait for about 2 minutes, turn the heat down low and wait for the batter to cook, then roll the cake round and place it on a plate.

  • Prepare pork belly

    After purchasing the pork belly, you prepare it by rinsing the piece of meat with water, then bring a pot of boiling water and blanch the meat quickly for about 2 – 3 minutes to remove the odor and eliminate dirt from the meat.
