How to choose fresh and delicious ingredients
How to choose fresh green water spinach
- You should choose a bunch of water spinach with stems about the size of a chopstick, with small, slightly firm tips, avoiding those with unusually large stems, as they will be tough and not tasty when eaten.
- You should not choose water spinach with leaves that have blemishes or are yellowing; also, avoid stems that are too short as they are old and will be very tough when eaten.
- To ensure you buy the highest quality water spinach, you should purchase from reputable stores, supermarkets, or major markets. This product is also available at TasteVN
How to choose fresh garlic
- Choose garlic bulbs with smooth, tight skin, intact, with few or no grooves because garlic with many grooves will have smaller cloves.
- Choose garlic bulbs of moderate size but feel firm in hand, avoid those that are bruised, soft, leaking water, or have sprouted.
- When you peel the skin off a garlic clove and see green or yellow colors, it is best not to choose them as they have poor flavor and a shorter shelf life.
