How to Choose Soy Milk for Milk Tea
- To ensure the milk tea has a delicious and authentic flavor, you should buy pure soy milk with a high soybean content that has not been flavored.
- You can look for bottled pure soy milk at nut milk shops. However, be sure to check carefully before buying; if the milk has a fragrant smell and a characteristic nutty taste from soybeans, then it is good to buy.
- Additionally, you can make soy milk at home to ensure safety following the recipe shared by TasteVN.
What is cream cheese? Where to buy it?
- Cream cheese, also known as cream cheese, is a type of cheese made from cow’s milk or goat’s milk, with a white color, soft texture, and a very distinctive sour and salty taste.

- You can buy cream cheese at baking ingredient stores, supermarkets, or purchase it online on e-commerce websites. Additionally, you can also make this ingredient at home through recipes shared by TasteVN.

-
Make Soybean Jelly
First, soak 3 sheets of gelatin in cold water for about 10 minutes until soft.
Place a pot on the stove, add 500ml of soy milk, and heat over medium flame until warm. Then, add the soaked gelatin and continue to stir until the gelatin dissolves, then turn off the heat.
Next, pour the soy milk into a large bowl, remove any foam from the surface, and let it cool. When the milk cools, place it in the refrigerator for 1 – 2 hours to set the soybean jelly.

Cook Soy Milk Tea
Place a new pot on the stove, add 500ml of soy milk, and heat over medium flame until it lightly boils. Then, turn off the heat, add 2 tea bags (you can choose tea according to your preference), cover tightly, and steep for 8 – 10 minutes for the tea to infuse.
-
Make the salty cheese cream mixture
Smash 30g of cream cheese until smooth, then add 20ml of condensed milk, 40ml of soybean milk, and mix well.
Next, add 70ml of whipping cream to the bowl and use a mixer on low speed for about 3 – 5 minutes until the cream is thick and smooth.
-
Making roasted soybean powder and finishing
With 50g of soybeans, roast them at 150 degrees Celsius for 25 minutes until cooked and cracked. Next, put them into a blender with 10g of sugar and blend until fine and fluffy.
To finish, first scoop a thin layer of soybean jelly into a glass, then pour the soybean milk tea until it’s about two finger widths from the rim, then add the cream cheese mixture.
Finally, sprinkle a layer of roasted soybean powder on top to complete.
