Chicken thigh mushrooms 200 grams Fried tofu 100 grams Fresh coconut water 500 ml Star anise 1 piece Cinnamon 1 piece Sugar 1 teaspoon Poaro onion 2 tablespoons Five spice powder 1/3 teaspoon Turmeric powder 1/3 teaspoon Salt 1/2 teaspoon Ground pepper 1/2 teaspoon Korean chili powder 1 tablespoon Soy sauce 5 tablespoons Vegetarian oyster sauce 1 tablespoon Fragrant sesame oil 1 teaspoon Cooking oil 2 tablespoons

How to make vegetarian Phá lấu

  • Prepare the ingredients

    For the chicken leg mushrooms, use a knife to cut off the stem and tip, soak the mushrooms in diluted salt water for about 5 minutes, rinse them 3 – 4 times with clean water, and finally drain. Next, use a knife to cut the mushrooms into spiral shapes.

    For the Poaro onion, also cut off the stem and wash it clean with water, then chop the onion into small round slices.

    Add 1 teaspoon of sugar, 1/3 teaspoon of five-spice powder, 1/3 teaspoon of turmeric powder, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of ground pepper, and 1 teaspoon of Korean chili powder into a clean bowl.

    Then add 5 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of vegetarian oyster sauce, and 1 tablespoon of fragrant sesame oil, and mix the ingredients together.

    You place a pot on the stove, add 2 tablespoons of cooking oil to the pan, and turn the heat to medium. Wait until the oil is hot, then add 2 tablespoons of Poaro onion.

    Next, pour the sauce into the pan and reduce the heat to low, stirring until the mixture thickens, then add mushrooms and fried tofu. Stir well to ensure the spices are evenly absorbed, then turn off the heat.

    Next, add 500 ml of fresh coconut water, 1 star anise, and 1 cinnamon stick to the pot to make the broth sweeter and more fragrant.
