Rice flour 100 gr Mung bean flour 50 gr Cocoa powder 1/2 tablespoon (cocoa powder) Foi Thong 1/2 cup (rice bowl) Eggs 4 pieces Sugar 200 gr Water 125 ml

What is Foi Thong?

  • Foi Thong is one of the traditional and popular desserts in Thailand. It is a sweet dish made from egg yolks and sugar syrup.
  • Foi Thong is usually formed into strands, with a bright yellow or orange color. This sweet dish can be eaten on its own or combined with other types of cakes for a delicious treat.

How to choose good chicken eggs

  • To choose fresh chicken eggs, you should first observe the eggshell. Industrial chicken eggs will have a dark brown color, not pale and not too many black spots.
  • However, backyard chicken eggs often have a paler color, sometimes white, but are still delicious and nutritious!
  • In addition, you can use your hand to feel the surface of the eggshell; if the surface is rough and slightly gritty, it is a fresh egg, while a smooth surface indicates that the egg has been stored for quite a while.

What is cocoa powder?

  • Essentially, cocoa powder is made from cacao but has been processed at high temperatures. Cocoa powder is usually cheaper than cacao.
  • Although produced at high temperatures, cocoa powder still retains a certain amount of antioxidants that are beneficial for health. You can use cocoa powder and cacao interchangeably in baking recipes or beverages.

Where to buy cocoa powder and green bean powder?

  • You can find cocoa powder and green bean powder at baking ingredient stores, supermarkets, or on e-commerce platforms such as bachhoaxanh.com.
  • No matter where you buy, you should choose a reputable place to ensure the health of yourself and your family!
