How to make Crispy French fries without flour

  • Prepare the potatoes

    Wash the potatoes to remove dirt, then peel them and soak in salted water for 10 minutes.

    Next, use a knife or peeler to cut the potatoes into thin slices (cut across the width of the potato).

  • Soak the potatoes

    Prepare a bowl of brine mixed with 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder. Then, soak the peeled potatoes in it for about 30 minutes to remove all the starch.

    After 30 minutes, rinse the potatoes thoroughly with cold water. Next, continue to soak the potatoes in a bowl of ice water for another 10 minutes.

    After 10 minutes, take the potatoes out and let them drain in a basket, spread them out, and sun-dry for 30 minutes.

    Soak the potato in water and place it on a paper towel to dry, the drier the better. Then, put this potato in the refrigerator for about 1 hour to firm up and remove all the moisture.
