How to choose fresh and delicious melon

  • A good melon will be round and plump without any dents. The surface has raised lines, and when gently pressed, the skin of the melon is resilient.
  • Avoid choosing melons with sharp ends and bodies as these melons did not absorb enough water and light during growth, resulting in bland and non-crispy flesh.
  • Do not choose melons with few lines and a smooth texture as these are under-ripe and will taste bland.
  • Additionally, when buying melons, observe the stem; a stem with a round dent and serrated marks indicates that the melon is ripe and will taste sweeter and crisper.
