How to cook Cheese Sake

  • Prepare sake

    Peel the sake you bought, cut it in half to remove the core, then continue to cut it in half again, and then slice it into thin pieces about 1/3 of a finger length.

    Next, put the sliced sake into a bowl with diluted salt water and soak for about 5 minutes to clean the sap, then rinse with water until clean, and let it drain.

    Tip: Because sake has a lot of sap, you should wear plastic gloves while preparing!

  • Prepare the sake

    After purchasing the sake, peel off the skin, then cut it into quarters. Prepare a bowl of diluted saltwater to soak the sake.

    Next, cut off the core of the sake and slice it into pieces about 1/3 of a finger’s thickness. Continue to place the cut sake into the bowl of diluted saltwater, soak for about 5 – 7 minutes, then rinse clean and drain.

    Tip: Because sake contains a lot of sap (latex), it’s advisable to wear plastic gloves while peeling!
