  • Delicious ripe tomatoes have a shiny, bright red skin, even color, and are plump. The skin shows evenly spaced tiny dots, and the seeds inside are yellow, with the flesh being red, indicating the tomatoes are perfectly ripe and tasty.
  • Tomatoes that still have fresh green stems, firmly attached to the fruit, are fresh tomatoes that have just been harvested. Additionally, vine-ripened tomatoes will have a light natural fragrance, while artificially ripened tomatoes will not have a scent.
  • Do not buy tomatoes with green skins; these are not only unappetizing but also contain toxins that are harmful to health. Additionally, tomatoes that feel soft when squeezed and have lost their stems are overripe and show signs of spoilage.
