Malt has a sticky, chewy texture, a sweet flavor, a dark yellow color, and a delicious aroma reminiscent of glutinous rice. Malt is commonly used as a sweetener in cooking, baking, making jams, or drizzling over sandwiches for consumption.

Then reduce to low heat and add 30g of glutinous rice flour and 2 tablespoons of cooking oil to the pumpkin mixture, stirring constantly.

How to choose delicious bananas

  • To make delicious jam, you should choose ripe bananas that are soft but not too mushy. The banana skin is smooth, with few tiny specks indicating sweet ripe bananas.
  • You should choose bananas that are still attached to the stem or in a bunch to ensure they are fresh, not bruised or easily spoiled.
  • Avoid choosing overly ripe bananas because their skins will be difficult to peel and will stick a lot to the banana flesh. Additionally, overly ripe bananas often have a slightly sour smell and taste, which can affect the flavor of the dish when cooked.

Pumpkin 700 gr (about 1/2 fruit) Yellow orange 1 piece Lime 1 tablespoon (dissolved in 1.5 liters of water and filtered to get clear water) Sugar 270 gr Salt 1/2 teaspoon

How to choose fresh yellow oranges

  • To choose good yellow oranges, select those that are round and have a bright orange color, with shiny skin.
  • Sweet, juicy yellow oranges usually have slightly bumpy skin but feel smooth to the touch, not giving a shriveled feeling. Additionally, if the yellow orange feels heavy and firm when held, it’s a good orange.
  • Gently squeeze the outer skin; if you can easily smell the fresh orange scent, it’s a fresh orange.
  • Do not buy yellow oranges with skin that has turned a dull yellow, wrinkled skin, or with dark spots or bruises. Avoid selecting fruits that smell rotten or have any unusual odors.

How to choose fresh, delicious pumpkin

  • You should buy round, evenly shaped pumpkins with dark brown skin, which may be bumpy but should not have many dark spots or deep blemishes.
  • Additionally, you should pay attention to choosing pumpkins with a stem length of about 2 – 5 cm (those with shorter stems may rot faster).
  • Opt for heavier pumpkins that feel solid in your hands. Good quality pumpkins typically have two layers of skin; beneath the bumpy yellow-brown outer skin, there is a green layer, and the flesh is bright orange-red, looking fresh without being dry or spongy.

How to preserve leftover pumpkin

  • For pumpkin that you have not used up, wrap it tightly with plastic wrap or put it in a plastic bag and tie it securely before placing it in the refrigerator’s cool compartment to preserve it; this way, the pumpkin will not turn brown.
  • Another method is to wrap the pumpkin in newspaper or paper towels and then store it in the refrigerator, as this will keep the pumpkin fresh longer without absorbing all the moisture inside.

How to preserve pumpkin jam

  • For soft jam, wrap it in plastic or food wrap and store it in a cool place, away from direct sunlight.
  • For dry jam, once made, wait for the pumpkin jam to cool before placing it in a glass jar for storage and use. It is advisable to keep this glass jar in a dry, cool place; you can add some sugar to the jar to preserve the jam longer without it becoming watery.
  • Storing it in the refrigerator is also very good, the jam will still retain its deliciousness without spoiling.
