While roasting, use a ladle to stir evenly so that the sesame does not burn. After 5 – 7 minutes, turn off the heat and remove the sesame from the pan.
-
Grind and filter black sesame
Add the roasted black sesame to a blender, add 500ml of water, and proceed to blend.
Blend until the black sesame is finely ground, then pour it through a sieve to extract the black sesame water.
Tip: To avoid damaging the blender, you should blend the sesame for 1 – 2 minutes, then let the machine rest, before continuing to blend until the black sesame is smooth. Do not blend for too long in one go. -
Cooking the dessert
Put a pot containing 250ml of water on the stove. Then, add 50g of arrowroot starch and 100g of sugar into the pot and bring to a boil.

Continue cooking on low heat until the arrowroot starch mixture thickens, then add black sesame paste to the pot and continue to stir well.
Stir well for about 5 minutes until the black sesame paste is incorporated into the arrowroot starch, then turn off the stove.
