What is black tea (red tea)? Where to buy it?

  • Black tea, also known as red tea, is made from the young buds of the green tea plant that are withered, then undergo an oxidation process by rolling the tea leaves and fermenting at a temperature of 24 – 26 degrees Celsius with a humidity of 95 – 98%.
  • This type of tea has two names because, when unbrewed, it is black and when brewed, it has a reddish or dark brown color.
  • Black tea (red tea) has a fragrant, slightly astringent taste and is often used to make various drinks along with soaked fruits like lychee red tea, peach red tea or used to make various milk teas.

  • Soak the tea

    Add 2 teaspoons of black tea into a small glass jar, then pour in about 50ml of hot water, shake gently and steep the tea for 5 minutes.
