With the Tet holiday approaching, instead of struggling to think of a new dish to treat guests visiting your home, let’s get into the kitchen and make this delicious land shrimp spring roll recipe from TasteVN. This dish can be served with rice or enjoyed as a snack during the Tet holidays!

Ingredients for Land Shrimp Spring Rolls For 3 people

Ground pork 150 gr Land shrimp 200 gr Cooking oil 250 ml Rice paper for spring rolls 200 gr (fried rolls) Shallots 50 gr Chili sauce for dipping 100 gr

How to Make Land Shrimp Spring Rolls

  • Prepare the Shrimp

    Wash the land shrimp, remove the head, peel off the outer shell, and remove the black vein on the back of the shrimp, remembering to leave the tail intact (if the shrimp is too large, cut it in half for easier wrapping).

    Marinate the shrimp with 1/2 teaspoon of salt, sugar, and a little pepper, then refrigerate for 10-20 minutes to absorb the seasoning.

  • Making fried spring rolls

    50 grams of minced purple onion sautéed until golden with a little cooking oil.

    Then, add the sautéed onion to 150g of minced meat. Season the meat with 1 teaspoon of seasoning, 1/3 teaspoon of pepper, and 1 tablespoon of sugar, mixing well.

    Wrapping the fried spring rolls: Lay one rice paper on the cutting board, dampen it with a little water, then add a bit of minced meat to roll it up. Near the end of the roll, add one earth shrimp and continue to roll.

    Fry the spring rolls until they are golden brown in hot oil.

  • Final product

    The finished earth shrimp spring rolls will have a golden color, and when you bite into them, you will taste the delicious flavor of the meat, the sweetness of the shrimp, and the crispy sensation on your tongue.

    With the earth shrimp spring rolls, you can serve them with chili sauce or plum sauce along with a few glasses of beer during the Tet holiday, which is simply wonderful.

Tips for successfully making the dish

You should choose fresh land shrimp, caught just recently, with firm and sweet meat. Do not chop finely, as this will prevent you from tasting the sweetness of the land shrimp.

For minced meat, you should choose the belly part from the neck, as this will provide the right flavor and is not greasy when eaten.

The rice paper used for rolling should be the dew-dried type; this type of rice paper, when fried, will be crispier and tastier compared to other types of rice paper.

When rolling, do not roll too tightly, as this will prevent the ingredients inside from cooking, and if rolled too loosely, the ingredients will spill out.

To keep the fried spring rolls crispy for a long time, you should add a few drops of lemon juice to the oil.
