Prepare the Ingredients
Clean the squid you bought (remove the squid pouch and internal organs), then rinse with diluted salt water and wash again with clean water. Next, use a knife to make a few cuts on the squid’s body, so that the marinade can penetrate better.
Pound the lemongrass and chop it finely.
Effective Way to Remove Fishy Smell from Squid- Lemon contains a lot of acid and has a fragrant smell, making it very effective at removing the fishy smell from squid. Squeeze about 2 to 3 lemons and then gently rub the squid with the lemon juice; there’s no need to wait long, just rinse the squid meat under running water immediately to effectively eliminate the fishy smell.
-
Alternatively, you can combine 1 crushed ginger, 1 tablespoon of salt, and 1 tablespoon of white wine as a golden formula. Just rub the squid with the above mixture, and the fishy smell will completely disappear.
