  • Prepare Ingredients

    When buying củ nén, you need to soak it in water for about 10 minutes. This will help soften the outer skin of the củ nén, making it easier to peel. Next, rinse the củ nén several times with water to remove all dirt and sand.

    For the ginger, use a knife to peel off the skin and slice it into thin strips.

  • Cook the Chè

    You place a pot of water on the stove and wait for it to boil, then add the cleaned củ nén into the pot and cook for about 15 minutes until tender.

    After that, add rock sugar to the pot, and when the sugar dissolves, reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes to allow the sugar to soak into the củ nén.

    Next, add the sliced ginger into the pot and cook for 1 minute, then turn off the heat and transfer to a bowl.
