How to make Sticky Rice with Green Beans with Skin

Prepare the ingredients
Wash the glutinous rice and green beans thoroughly in water twice, pick out any bad or wormy beans, if any, drain and then mix the glutinous rice and green beans together.

Cook the Sticky Rice with Green Beans
Put the mixture of glutinous rice and green beans into a pot, add 1 liter of water and 2/3 tablespoon of salt, and cook over medium heat.
When the water boils, reduce the heat to low, and use a chopsticks to stir well so that the rice and beans do not stick to the bottom of the pot. After 5 minutes, the rice and beans will start to expand, add an additional 200ml of water, and stir well.
Cover the pot and continue to cook for another 15 – 20 minutes until the sticky rice and green beans are cooked; at this point, the rice will be clearer and the green beans will be soft. Season to taste and turn off the heat.
Tip:- To help the sticky rice cook evenly, remember to occasionally lift the lid while cooking.
- If you want to eat the crispy part, leave it for another 5 minutes but do not use chopsticks to stir.
