- You should choose squid that is stored in vacuum-sealed bags, with the head and body of the squid intact and not separated. The squid should have a thick texture and a natural pinkish-white color.
- Avoid purchasing squid with poorly sealed packaging, squid that is wet, or where the head and body are separated.

How to make Grilled squid 1 sun using an air fryer
-
Preparing the squid
For 1 sun squid, first we will separate the body from the head of the squid, then use white wine and salt to rub on the squid to remove the sliminess, then rinse it clean and let it drain.
Next, use a knife to make horizontal and vertical cuts on the squid’s body to create small squares for better grilling.
-
Marinating the squid
Put 1 tablespoon of satay sauce into a bowl, then use a brush to evenly spread the satay sauce over the body and head of the squid.
Evenly coat both sides of the 1 sun squid, then let it marinate for about 10 – 15 minutes for better flavor absorption.
-
Grill squid
After 15 minutes, when the squid has absorbed the seasoning, we will start grilling the squid. Arrange the marinated squid in the air fryer and grill for 12 – 15 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.
After the squid is cooked, open the fryer and take the grilled squid out onto a cutting board. Use a knife to cut the squid into bite-sized pieces and arrange them on a plate, and it’s done.
