How to clean and prepare black beans better

  • The preparation steps include washing, soaking, and roasting black beans. You should wash the black beans thoroughly at least 2 times, then soak them in water for 6 – 8 hours to allow the beans to swell and soften. Discard any beans that float on the surface of the water during soaking.
  • After soaking, turn the heat on high and place the black beans in a pan to roast for about 10 minutes, until you see the skin of the black beans wrinkle slightly before cooking or steaming them.

  • Boil the beans

    After washing and soaking the beans for 8 hours, remove them and let them drain.

    Then, pour enough water to cover the beans and cook over high heat for about 20 minutes, until the beans are soft and easily mashed, then drain the water and let the beans cool.

    You preheat the oven for 10 – 15 minutes at 160 degrees Celsius for the oven to stabilize the temperature.
