How to choose good black beans
- Choose black beans that have a smooth, shiny skin, uniform small grains, and are not wrinkled or showing any unusual tiny spots on the surface.
- Additionally, when pressed, the beans should feel firm, not hollow inside or easily crushed, as this indicates freshness.
- Moreover, there should be no musty or strange odors when sniffed.

How to make Black Bean Bag Ice Cream
-
Wash and boil the beans
Put the black beans into a basin, pour in about 500ml of water, and use your hands to rub gently to remove dirt stuck to the beans and any spoiled beans. Next, drain the beans in a colander to let the water drain off.
After the beans have drained, pour them into a pot, add about 400ml of water, and cook for 30 – 45 minutes until the beans are completely soft. After 30 minutes, turn off the heat and pour the beans into a bowl.
-
Cook black beans with coconut milk
Put another pot on the stove, add 800ml of water, add 200g of sugar, and stir gently to dissolve the sugar completely in the water, then add 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
Next, pour the boiled black beans into the pot, cover the lid, wait for this mixture to boil again, then add 200ml of coconut milk, and cook for another 5 minutes before turning off the heat.
Wait for the coconut black bean pot to cool slightly before you start pouring it into bags!
-
Pour into bags and freeze
First, you expand the mouth of the bag and scoop the black beans in first. After scooping everything into the bags, pour the water into a jar for easier measuring, then carefully pour it into the bags containing the beans.
Next, use a rubber band to tightly secure the opening.
Finally, place everything in the freezer refrigerator for about 4 – 5 hours. Once the black bean ice cream has completely frozen, you can enjoy it!
