Ingredients for Vanilla Cherry Pudding For 4 people
All-purpose flour 50 gr Agar powder 10 gr Cherry 300 gr Egg yolks 3 pieces Unsweetened fresh milk 600 ml Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon Sugar 150 gr
How to choose fresh, delicious cherries
- Choose dark red cherries with bright green stems. Additionally, select cherries that have a smooth surface and are not rough.
- Gently press the cherry with your hand; if it is firm, thick-fleshed, and not mushy, it is fresh cherry.
- Also, avoid choosing bright red cherries as these are often soaked in preservatives, which are not good for health.
What is jelly powder? The difference between jelly and agar jelly
- Jelly powder is made from natural ingredients such as seaweed, apples,… each type of jelly can be made from various products but usually originates from natural plant sources.
- Jelly powder is used to make jelly dishes, thanks to its binding properties that create a unique texture that is firm yet soft and chewy.
- There are 2 types of jelly powder: soft jelly powder (Carrageenan or jelly) and hard jelly powder (Agar)
- Hard jelly powder will create a firm, slightly hard texture for the product. Meanwhile, soft jelly powder will create a softer, jiggly texture for the product compared to hard jelly powder.
