- When buying corn to make corn milk for your baby, you should choose American corn because this type has juicy, crunchy, and sweeter kernels.
- When selecting corn, look for fresh, moderately elongated ears, with a light green husk that hasn’t dried out, soft and smooth silk, and a stalk that is not dark or withered.
- Choose ears with husks tightly wrapped around the cob inside. You should also pay attention to the kernels; they should be plump, uniform, shiny, and straight, and when you press them, they should feel slightly soft indicating they are young corn.
- Avoid choosing corn that is too large as this may indicate old, unappetizing corn; also, do not choose withered corn where the husk does not cling to the cob, as this could be old corn.
