How to make Milo yogurt
-
Cook the Milo yogurt mixture
Prepare a pot, add 1.2 liters of sweetened fresh milk, 300g of condensed milk, and 5 packets of Milo powder into the pot. Turn on low heat and use a whisk or ladle to stir the mixture thoroughly.
Cook the milk mixture until it simmers, then turn off the heat and let it cool.
After the mixture has cooled to about 40 degrees Celsius, continue to add 2 cups of sweetened yogurt into the pot and stir to blend the yogurt with the Milo milk mixture.
How to cook the Milo yogurt mixture to keep it longer- Method 1: You should cook the Milo yogurt mixture until it simmers and then let it cool down a bit, which will help the finished yogurt keep longer than if you choose to cook the yogurt mixture until it is slightly warm and then turn off the heat.
- Method 2: For the 2 cups of sweetened yogurt used as a starter, you should let them sit at room temperature overnight before adding them to the milk for stirring. If you add the starter yogurt to the milk mixture while it’s still cold, the finished Milo yogurt will become slimy and spoil quickly.

Prepare the containers and pour yogurt into the jars
The glass jars for yogurt should be rinsed with boiling water and left to dry completely before pouring the yogurt in.
Once the jars are dry, scoop about 2 ladles of the milo yogurt mixture into each jar, leaving about one finger’s width from the top of the jar.
Use a toothpick to pop any bubbles on the surface to make the milo yogurt look more appealing once it’s done.
Next, tightly cover the jars with lids to prevent water from getting in during the fermentation process, which would make the yogurt runny and less tasty. Continue this process until all the milo mixture is used up.
How to clean plastic containers to prevent yogurt spoilage: For plastic jars, you should wash them thoroughly and then sun-dry them completely before scooping the milo yogurt mixture into them. -
Ferment the yogurt
After pouring and sealing the jars, place the yogurt jars in a foam box to ferment for 6 – 8 hours in hot weather and 10 – 12 hours in cool, rainy weather.
Once the yogurt has fermented for the required time, place it in the fridge refrigerator for 2 – 3 hours to achieve a smooth and creamy consistency, making it ready to enjoy.

After a meal, having a jar of attractive Milo yogurt for dessert is just wonderful.
How to preserve Milo yogurt:
- You should tightly cover the yogurt jar and keep it in the refrigerator, which can preserve it for 2 to 3 weeks.
- Avoid putting it in the freezer for preservation as it will cause the yogurt to harden, losing its creamy texture and delicious flavor.
