  • Prepare the ingredients

    When you buy tamarind, you peel off the skin and only take the flesh inside. If you buy already peeled tamarind, you just need to place it on a plate!

  • Roast glutinous rice flour

    Place a pan on the stove, turn the heat to low, add 12g of glutinous rice flour to the pan and continuously stir until you smell a fragrant aroma and the flour turns slightly yellow, then turn off the heat. At that point, the glutinous rice flour is cooked.

  • Mix tamarind with glutinous rice flour and form into balls

    Using a small sieve, add the roasted glutinous rice flour on top and gently sift it into the pan containing the tamarind. While sifting, mix well so that the tamarind and glutinous rice flour integrate together.

    Then, shape the tamarind into small balls and coat them with a mixture of sugar, salt, and chili powder that you prepared earlier.
