  • Good quality dry radish should have a uniform color, leaning towards yellow-brown.
  • Choose those that have a natural aroma, and when squeezed, feel slightly dry but soft and light.

How to make Stir-fried Dried Radish

  • Prepare the ingredients

    After purchasing, soak the dried radish in clean water for about 30 minutes until it becomes soft, then rinse it again and squeeze out the excess water.

    Peel the garlic and shallots, then chop 5 cloves of garlic and slice 2 shallots. For the chili, cut it into small pieces about half the length of a finger.

    Place a pan on the stove, add 2 tablespoons of cooking oil into the pan. Wait for the oil to heat, then add garlic and shallots to sauté until fragrant.

    When the garlic and shallots are golden and aromatic, add chili, stir for about 30 seconds, then add the dried radish to stir-fry until cooked.

    After stir-frying for about 2 minutes, when the dried radish is nearly cooked, add 1.5 teaspoons of vegetarian seasoning and stir to let the dried radish absorb the flavor. Add another teaspoon of sugar to reduce the salty taste.

    You can adjust the seasoning to your liking. Stir-fry for another 30 seconds, then turn off the heat.
