How to cook Garlic chili mackerel

  • Prepare the ingredients

    To save time, you should buy cleaned fish from the seller; then you just need to rinse the fish several times and place it in a basket to drain.

    After peeling the garlic and removing the chili stems, wash them thoroughly and chop them finely.

  • Marinate the fish

    To marinate the fish, place the cleaned fish into a bowl along with the mixture of ingredients including: minced garlic, minced chili, 2 tablespoons of fish sauce, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of MSG.

    Then, use a pair of chopsticks to stir well so that the spices coat the fish evenly and let it marinate for about 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.

  • Cook the fish

  • Prepare the ingredients

    Peel the garlic and shallots, then crush them in a mortar. Wash the chili, then slice it.

    After buying the fish, clean it, remove the gills and intestines, then rinse with diluted saltwater and finally rinse with clean water.
