How to choose fresh and delicious squid

  • You should choose fresh squid with a shiny color, the brown part of the squid should be dark brown, while the squid’s body should be milky white.
  • Choose squid that feels firm and has high elasticity when touched. When pressing on the squid’s body and releasing, the squid should return to its original state immediately without leaving a dent.
  • Choose squid with clear, transparent eyes that are not bulging out, clearly visible pupils, and not yellow or leaking fluid.

  • Prepare the ingredients

    To clean the squid, first rinse it briefly under water to remove dust and dirt. Then, use your hands to pull out the squid’s ink sac and internal organs from its body. Next, place the squid in a bowl of diluted saltwater for about 5 minutes, then remove and rinse with clean water, allowing it to drain.

    Leave the garlic unpeeled and crush it, and chop the chili after removing the stem.

  • Fry the squid

    Place a pan on the stove, add 300ml of cooking oil, wait for the oil to heat up, then add all 600gr of cleaned squid, stirring gently and frying over medium heat for about 10 minutes before removing to drain the oil.

    Take another pan and place it on the stove, add 3 tablespoons of cooking oil, wait for the oil to heat up, then add 50gr of crushed garlic and sauté until fragrant and golden over low heat for about 3 minutes.
