How to Make Phuc Long Milk Tea

  • Brewing the tea

    Put a pot on the stove, add 500ml of water and boil at 100 degrees Celsius. Once the water boils, add 25gr of black tea, stir well, cover, and let it steep for 15 – 20 minutes.

    Tip:

    • When brewing tea, use just-boiled water, not warm or cold water, as insufficient heat will not bring out the full essence of the tea.
    • The steeping time should also be just right, not too long or too short; about 30 minutes is ideal for the tea to fully extract its flavors, resulting in a richer and more aromatic final product.

    After 20 minutes, you use a strainer to take the tea extract, removing the tea leaves.

  • Mix the milk and sugar mixture

    While waiting for the tea to steep, you add 88g of sugar and 125g of milk powder into a bowl, mixing them well together.

    Next, carefully pour the milk and sugar mixture into the tea extract. Then, gently stir to ensure the milk and sugar are completely dissolved into the tea extract.

    Finally, add ice cubes immediately to preserve the distinctive flavor of the milk tea, gently stir, pour into a cup, and enjoy!
