How to prepare steamed pig brain with pumpkin

  • Prepare pig brain

    After buying the pig brain, peel off the thin membrane on the outside and use a toothpick to clean out the blood vessels. Then wash it thoroughly with salt water and rinse with cold water.

    Wash the pumpkin thoroughly, cut it horizontally, making the cut about 1/3 of the fruit from the stem.

    Use a spoon to scoop out all the seeds from the pumpkin’s flesh. Rinse it again with water.

    Steam the pumpkin (including the stem that has just been cut off) and the pig brain for about 30 minutes. Use a toothpick to check if the pumpkin is cooked; if it’s soft, it’s ready to enjoy.
