Wash the pumpkin thoroughly, cut it horizontally, making the cut about 1/3 of the fruit from the stem.
Use a spoon to scoop out all the seeds from the pumpkin’s flesh. Rinse it again with water.
Peel and slice the ginger thinly. Peel and slice the shallots. Wash the chili and remove the stem.
