How to choose good ingredients
How to choose fresh duck eggs
- Choose eggs with a smooth shell, covered with a layer of white powder, and feel solid when held.
- Do not choose duck eggs with uneven colors, cloudy gray, or cracked shells.
- Do not choose duck eggs that make a sound when shaken, as these are old and not good. Especially avoid eggs that smell rotten or have other strange odors.
How to choose good salted eggs
- You should choose salted eggs that still have the outer shell intact and have a strong characteristic aroma.
- Good salted eggs, when you peel off the straw and the ingredients on the shell, will have a mixed black and white shell like salt, sometimes creating patterns on the surface.
- Choose reputable and clean production facilities to buy eggs. Avoid buying eggs that are expired or spoiled.
- Additionally, you can also make salted eggs at home using the recipe from TasteVN.
How to choose good salted duck eggs
- It is advisable to choose eggs with intact shells, without cracks or mold.
- You can shine a light on the eggs or hold them under sunlight. If the egg white is clear, and the yolk shrinks and sticks to the shell, it is a good salted egg, and you should buy it.
- When cracking the egg, if you find the egg white is cloudy, the yolk is thin, and there is a foul smell, you should discard that egg.
- Moreover, to ensure safety, you can make salted eggs right at home using the recipe from TasteVN.
