How to Choose Good Salted Figs
- You should choose salted figs that have a bright and beautiful color, are uniformly round, still quite firm, have a natural fermented smell, and especially the brine is clear.
- Avoid choosing salted figs that are dark, misshapen, have many tiny spots on the surface, feel soft and mushy when touched, and have an unusual foul smell as they may have been soaked too long.
