How to choose fresh ingredients
How to choose fresh beef
- When choosing beef, you should select pieces that are bright red, with white marbling and fresh yellow fat.
- Press the beef with your hand to check for good elasticity; it should not feel sticky and should not have an unusual odor.
- Avoid choosing pieces that are pale green or dark red, with dark yellow fat, and feel mushy and slimy when touched, as the meat quality is not guaranteed, which can affect the health of consumers.
How to choose delicious potatoes that are not mealy
- When choosing potatoes, pay attention to selecting tubers that are yellow in color to ensure sweetness, taste, and nutritional richness.
- Avoid selecting tubers that have sprouted or have turned green on the outside as these can be very toxic, harmful to health, and even fatal.
- It is advisable to purchase potatoes that feel firm in hand, have smooth and intact skin, and show no abnormal signs such as black spots, pests, or rot.
How to choose delicious, quality carrots
- When selecting carrots, make sure to choose those that are of moderate size, upright shape, and have smooth skin on the outside.
- Good carrots usually have a bright color, feel firm to the touch, and have a small core. These are the delicious carrots with a certain crunch and sweetness.
- Avoid purchasing carrots that are too large, have a large core, or those that are misshapen, cracked, and show signs of bruising.
