How to Choose Fresh Ripe Mangoes
- You should choose mangoes that have a plump shape, smooth, shiny skin, and may have a few natural brown spots.
- Good mangoes feel firm in hand and the stem end is slightly indented, usually these will be the sweet and delicious ones.
- Naturally ripened mangoes often have a distinctive aroma, you should select those with a fragrant smell, the more fragrant, the better.
- Do not choose mangoes that are overly ripe, bruised, and have a sour smell like fermentation; also, avoid mangoes that are not uniformly plump, as these may be artificially ripened and not sweet or tasty.
