-
Cook Milo jelly
First, put into a pot 5g of jelly powder, 50g of Milo powder, 100g of sugar, and 500ml of water, then stir well to dissolve the mixture evenly (you should not use hot water as the jelly powder may clump).
Next, place the pot on the stove, cook the jelly mixture over medium heat, and remember to use a spoon to stir continuously to prevent the mixture from clumping.
After cooking for 10 minutes and the mixture has boiled, remove the foam to keep the jelly clear and not pitted. When the mixture is completely dissolved, turn off the heat (while cooking, you should keep the heat medium, not too high to avoid burning).
-
Pour the milo jelly into the mold
Use a ladle to slowly scoop the hot jelly into the prepared mold, wait for the jelly to cool and set, then place it in the refrigerator for about 1 – 2 hours before taking it out to enjoy.
-
Finished product
The milo jelly has an attractive brown color, characteristic of milo powder. Biting into a piece of jelly will give you the coolness and chewy texture of the jelly along with the sweet and mildly bitter taste of milo; this combination will make you love it.
You can enjoy milo jelly as a snack or drink it with milk tea, which is also very delicious.

Mix sugar and jelly powder
First, put 250gr of sugar, 1/3 teaspoon of salt, and 12gr of jelly powder into a bowl and mix well.
-
Making milo mixture
First, add 110g of milo powder, 440ml of chocolate milk, and 400ml of water into a pot and use a ladle to stir the ingredients until well combined.
Then, add 130g of the sugar and agar mixture (prepared in the previous step) to the pot, stir until the sugar dissolves, and let it rest for 2 hours.
Tip:
- If you are using the agar on the same day, you do not need to soak the milo mixture for 2 hours after mixing.
- If you are using the agar for multiple days (to eat over 3 – 4 days), it is advisable to soak the milo mixture after adding the agar powder to prevent the agar from leaking water during cold storage.
-
Making milk mixture
Next, add 440ml of unsweetened milk, 50g of condensed milk, 400ml of water, the sugar mixture, and the remaining agar powder into another pot, stir until the ingredients are well mixed and let the mixture soak for 2 hours.
-
Pouring jelly
You place 2 pots of jelly on the stove over low heat, and proceed to heat for 8 – 10 minutes to cook the jelly powder.
You use a spoon to stir gently and continuously to avoid creating air bubbles and bubbles on the surface of the jelly when pouring into the mold. Before pouring into the mold, you add 1 teaspoon of vanilla to each pot.
Pour the mixture into the mold with thickness according to your preference. Only pour another layer of jelly when this layer is slightly set to create layers.
At the same time, keep the pot of jelly on the stove over low heat, occasionally stir evenly and add a little water to compensate for the steam that evaporates during cooking.
Tips for pouring jelly to avoid separation:
- Method 1: Wait for the surface of the jelly layer to slightly set before pouring another layer of heated jelly; this will create adhesion and beautiful layering.
- Method 2: If the jelly layer has already set, to ensure the next layer adheres to the previous layer, you can gently score a few lines on the surface before pouring the new layer.
When pouring the jelly layer, you should keep the ladle low (close to the surface of the jelly) to avoid creating air bubbles (bubbles) when pouring. If bubbles appear, you can use a toothpick to pop them, helping the surface of the jelly look better.
-
Completion
After the jelly is poured into the mold, you need to let it cool completely before putting it in the refrigerator. Chilling for about 2 hours will allow you to enjoy it!
-
Final Product
The Milo chocolate milk jelly looks very appealing with its beautiful layers and perfect consistency, fragrant with the aroma of Milo and the creamy taste of fresh milk.

-

Then, add the remaining 1/2 cup of jelly powder while stirring continuously until the jelly powder is completely dissolved.
After letting the jelly mixture rest for 1 hour, you place the jelly pot on the stove and cook on low heat for 5 – 7 minutes until the jelly boils. Stir continuously while cooking to prevent the jelly from burning at the bottom of the pot!
-

You pour each layer of jelly into the mold as desired. After the first layer starts to set, you can begin pouring the second layer.
Once you finish pouring, place the jelly in the refrigerator for about 3 hours to set completely. Finally, cut the jelly into bite-sized pieces.
