How to prepare Stir-fried Beef with Potatoes

  • Prepare the ingredients

    Beef should be rinsed with diluted salt water, then washed again with clean water, drained, and sliced into thin pieces suitable for eating.

    How to eliminate the smell of beef:

    • Method 1: Roast a piece of ginger until cooked, then scrape off the burnt outer layer, crush the ginger, and rub it on the beef, letting it sit for about 3 minutes before rinsing with clean water.
    • Method 2: Since beef does not have a strong odor, you can also rinse it briefly with diluted salt water. Do not wash too thoroughly as it will remove the nutrients in the meat, making it less tasty.

    Potatoes should be peeled, washed, and cut into small pieces about 1/2 finger thick, and can be cut with a knife for a more attractive look.

How to Prepare Stir-fried Beef with Fried Potatoes

  • Prepare the Ingredients

    Wash the potatoes, peel them, and cut them into long pieces about 3 finger lengths and about 1/2 finger thickness, then let them drain.

    To remove the smell of the beef, rub salt thoroughly onto the meat for about 5 – 7 minutes, then rinse with clean water. After the beef is drained, cut it into bite-sized pieces and place them in a bowl.

    Next, marinate the beef with 1 tablespoon of fish sauce, 1 teaspoon of seasoning powder, 1/4 teaspoon of monosodium glutamate and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Mix well and place in the refrigerator for about 20 – 40 minutes for the beef to absorb the seasoning.
