Rice flour 100 g Glutinous rice flour 100 g Baking powder 10 g Seasoning a little (sugar/salt/oil)

How to make Candy sticks coated in sugar

  • Mix the flour

    Add 100g of all-purpose flour and 100g of glutinous rice flour into a bowl, then add 10g of baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 20g of sugar, mixing all the dry ingredients together. After that, gradually add 100ml of boiling water into the flour and mix well. You can adjust the amount of water so that the flour is mixed evenly and forms a soft, pliable mass.

    When the dough has formed, continue kneading and divide the dough into small pieces, then roll them into long sticks cut into pieces about 5 – 7cm long. You can also shape them into any desired forms.

  • Fry the cake

    Pour cooking oil into a pan, turn on low heat and wait for the oil to heat up before adding the cake to fry, fry with just enough oil and stir evenly to ensure the cake is puffy and cooked evenly on both sides. Fry until all the cakes are done, and once finished, remove the cakes to a plate to drain excess oil.

    Prepare another pan for 20g of sugar and the fried cakes, turn on the stove on low heat and stir until the sugar coats the cakes evenly.

How to Make Cheese Sticks

  • Mixing the Dough

    Prepare a pot with 300gr of fresh milk, 60gr of sugar, 60gr of flour, and 70gr of unsalted butter, then use a hand whisk to mix until the dough is fully dissolved. Once the dough has dissolved, place the pot on a low flame and cook until the mixture thickens. Note that while cooking, you should stir the dough continuously to prevent it from burning at the bottom of the pot.

    Once cooked, remove the pot from the heat, while the mixture is still warm, add 300gr of flour and continue to mix well until a dough forms. Next, add 2 eggs and 100gr of mozzarella cheese, then mix thoroughly to combine the ingredients.

  • Baking the cake

    Once the mixture is ready, transfer the dough into a piping bag. Prepare a baking tray and line it with parchment paper underneath. Cut a small tip from the piping bag and squeeze the dough out into long sticks. You can also shape them into different forms according to your preference.

    After shaping, place them in the oven, then set the baking temperature to 140 degrees for about 30 – 35 minutes.

    The cake after baking has a fragrant cheese smell. When you eat it, the cake is crispy and soft, with rich cheesy pieces. You can also dip it in condensed milk for an even tastier experience.
